Dua
Dua Lipa is a British artist/singer born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 following her signed with Warner Bros Records. The album reached number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles including Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one track New Rules which peaked at 6th on the charts in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. Also, it is possible to find her family's roots in the Kosovo village of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her siblings are Rina and Gjin. Lipa's musical influences came from her father who is the lead singer and guitarist of Kosovan the rock group Oda. At home her father continued playing music which included his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five. At the age of nine she began to learn how to sing. Lipa has performed a cover of Don't Have You and Beautiful from Christina Aguilera and posted it on YouTube. Lipa made her debut record deal in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released in august 2015.
